PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – UCLA will compete in a talented eight-team field in the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis, played from Nov. 26-28, 2014, at Atlantis Resorts on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.
The Bruins will play in a field that also features Butler, Florida, Georgetown, Oklahoma, North Carolina, UAB, Wisconsin. The 12-game, three-day tournament includes a collection of programs that feature a combined 195 NCAA Tournament appearances, 53 NCAA Final Four appearances and 20 NCAA Championships.
In addition to an outstanding field of skill and speed, Atlantis welcomes ESPN as a new broadcast partner in 2014 with a three-year TV deal, alongside three-year veteran partner AXS TV. The 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis games will be aired live on both networks from Atlantis’ Imperial Arena.
Past winners of the tournament’s title have included Villanova, Duke and Harvard. The half-million dollar temporary arena boasts state-of-the-art regulation facilities at the epicenter of the world’s largest open-air marine habitat complete with lavish guest accommodations, restaurants, bars, spa, lounges, waterslides and the largest casino in The Bahamas.
UCLA is slated to compete in The Bahamas in November 2014 and in Maui (Hawaii) at the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational in November 2015. This will mark the Bruins’ first appearance in The Bahamas.
