On October 21, a federal judge ruled that UCLA was allowed to file an appeal in this matter. An appeal gives UCLA a seat at the table to work towards crafting a resolution that helps veterans by building upon our longstanding relationship with the VA and our strong commitment to veterans - a commitment that includes a wide variety of programs dedicated to serving those who serve.
UCLA has since filed the appeal. In doing so, we have ensured that our NCAA champion baseball team will be able to play its full upcoming season in Jackie Robinson Stadium while we continue to work towards a long-term resolution to this matter.
Coach John Savage and the UCLA baseball team are looking forward to defending the national title this season in Jackie Robinson Stadium, and there has been no change in their preparation to do so.
While there are still many questions in this fluid process, as first promised in August, we will continue to work with campus administration to keep everyone abreast of further developments.
