Brady became the eighth UCLA player to win a Pac-12 singles title, notching a 6-4, 6-0 victory over USC's sixth-seeded Zoe Scandalis in the women's final at Libbey Park in downtown Ojai on Sunday. Brady, the tournament's No. 1 seed, did not drop a set in her five matches in Ojai. She becomes the second UCLA freshman in as many years to win the title, following 2013 winner Kyle McPhillips. Brady leads the team in singles victories this season with 33. She is ranked No. 11 in the nation in singles and No. 1 in doubles with partner Robin Anderson. Her five wins in Ojai also extended her singles winning streak to 19. She has not lost since falling to Duke's Hanna Mar in the team finals of the USTA/ITA National Team Indoors on Feb. 10.
Lee became the first UCLA golfer in seven years to win the Pac-12 individual title and the program's fourth overall conference individual champion. The Pac-12 title was her third individual crown this year. Lee fired a final round 69 (-3), making four birdies and a bogey, to finish with a 54-hole score of 211 (-5). She won by three shots.
The Play of the Week by the men's tennis team came seconds aparthappened seconds apart in the Pac-12 title match against top-ranked USC when Adrien Puget defeated Michael Grant, 6-4, 6-1 on court 6 to give UCLA a 3-2 lead. Just seconds later, Karue Sell finished his match, a 6-3, 7-6(4) victory over Eric Johnson, to clinch UCLA's second-consecutive Pac-12 Championship.
