Redshirt junior Julian Wruck (Brisbane, Australia/Gregory Terrace HS) of the UCLA men's track and field team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week (May 27-June 2).

Wruck threw the all-time collegiate record Saturday in the men's discus throw at the Claremont Hammer and Discus Elite Invitational, throwing a massive mark 68.16m/223-7 in yet another outstanding performance in the 2013 outdoor season. Wruck, UCLA's all-time leader in the event coming into the weekend, bested the mark set by SMU's Hannes Hopley (67.66m/222-0) back in 2004. Currently, his mark is the third-best mark in the world in 2013.

This is Wruck's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.

Also nominated: Pat Gallagher, Baseball; Pontus Widegren, M. Golf.
