Jefferson earned UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honors after helping lead the Bruins to a hard-fought 34-27 win in the Pac-12 opener against Utah on the road in Salt Lake City last Thursday. Jefferson tallied two of the six interceptions the UCLA defense forced on the night. The 6-1, 185-pounder also added seven tackles, including three solo stops. On the season, Jefferson has recorded 19 tackles, two interceptions, two pass breakups, four passes defended and a fumble recovery.
For the play of the week, Adams' third quarter interception earned top honors. Adams broke up the pass and as the ball bounced off a Utah player's stomach, he caught the ball just before it hit the ground. The interception was the second of UCLA's six interceptions in the game.
