By: UCLA Athletics
Atonye Nyingifa of the UCLA women's basketball team is the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week, and the men's water polo game-winning overtime goal against USC is the Play of the Week.

Nyingifa, also the Pac-12 Player of the Week, established or tied six career-highs in leading the Bruins to an 82-76 upset win over No. 10/13 Oklahoma at Pauley Pavilion last Sunday afternoon. Nyingifa tied her career-best with a game-high 28 points and had career-bests in free throws made (12) and attempted (15). She completed her second-straight double-double against a ranked team with a career-high 16 rebounds (six offensive). The sixth-year senior also dealt a career-high six assists and added three steals and one block against the Sooners in the Bruins’ only game of the week. UCLA, which has faced three Top 12 teams in the first four games of the 2013-14 season, improved to 2-2 overall, and earned the Pac-12’s first win over a ranked team this season (previously 0-7).

The Play of the Week comes from Spieker Aquatics Center, where water polo freshman Ryder Roberts scored the game-winning goal at the buzzer against crosstown rival USC to give UCLA the 10-9 comeback victory in double overtime.
