The UCLA baseball team has the talent and experience to vie again for the Pac-12 Conference crown in 2012, backed by its trio of talented junior outfielders - Beau Amaral, Jeff Gelalich and Cody Keefer - and the return of three top sophomore pitchers. Adam Plutko, Zack Weiss and Nick Vander Tuig all played key roles on the pitching staff in 2011, and those pitchers are expected to lead the way as sophomores in 2012. Junior Cody Regis has led the Bruins in home runs the last two seasons and is expected to shine as UCLA's starting third baseman for the third consecutive year. UCLA's talented incoming class of 12 ballplayers, all from California, includes five pitchers, five infielders, one outfielder and one catcher. The defending conference champions, UCLA will seek its sixth postseason appearance in the last seven seasons in 2012.
