Release:  11/21/2013
The second-ranked UCLA women's soccer team have proven themselves to be standouts both on the field and in the classroom. The Bruins received a NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year and had nine players named to the 2013 Pac-12 All-Academic team.

UCLA's NSCAA Team Academic Award is the second in a row for the Bruin program. The team earned its first award in school history for the 2011-12 campaign. The 2012-13 Bruins posted a 3.04 team GPA to receive the distinction.

The Bruin players earning honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic honors were three-time honoree Jenna Richmond, two-time honorees Ally Courtnall, Abby Dahlkemper, Sarah Killion, Sam Mewis, Megan Oyster, Katelyn Rowland and Chelsea Stewart, and first-time member Rosie White.

Earlier this month, Dahlkemper, Killion and Stewart earned Capital One Academic All-District second-team acclaim.

To be eligible for selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
