Five Bruins Earn First-Team NSCAA All-Pacific Region Honors
By: UCLA Athletics
Five UCLA women's soccer players earned first-team NSCAA All-Pacific Region honors in 2013, the most first-team selections in UCLA history. Making the all-region team were goalkeeper Katelyn Rowland, defender Abby Dahlkemper, midfielders Sarah Killion and Jenna Richmond and forward Darian Jenkins.

Rowland, a junior goalkeeper from Vacaville, Calif., moves up from third team in 2012 to first team in 2013. Rowland leads the nation in goals against average (0.26) and save percentage (0.912). She has allowed just six goals this season and set a new school record with 14 shutouts.

Dahlkemper, a three-time selection, is a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy and a two-time NSCAA All-American. The junior defender from Menlo Park, Calif. has started 22 games for the Bruins and is ranked second on the team in minutes played with 1,987. She has led the Bruin defense to 17 shoutouts and a national-best team GAA of 0.28.

Killion, a junior midfielder from Fort Wayne, Ind., earns her second-straight first-team All-Region honor. The two-time first-team All-Pac-12 honoree led the conference in assists with 11, a total that ranks fourth on UCLA's single-season assist list. She has also contributed one goal, the game-winner at Cal.

Richmond, a senior midfielder from Centreville, Va., was a third-team All-Region selection in 2012 and received first-team honors this season after contributing three goals and five assists while being one of just two Bruins to start all 24 games. Richmond currently ranks sixth on UCLA's career assist chart with 23, and her 88 career starts rank seventh.

Jenkins, a freshman forward from Riverton, Utah, is UCLA's leading scorer with 11 goals and 27 points. The Pac-12 Freshman of the Year also earned first-team all-conference and all-freshman honors. Jenkins, along with Richmond are the only two Bruins who have started in every game this year. She started the year by scoring a goal in each of her first four games.
