After a week of final exams, the No. 2 UCLA women’s water polo team will host Harvard in a non-conference game under the lights Friday at Spieker Aquatics Center. The opening sprint is set for 7 p.m. and admission is free.

The Bruins (17-2, 1-0) have won two straight games and six of their last seven. Harvard was 10-10 overall prior to a doubleheader Thursday evening at Cal State Northridge.

UCLA’s last victory was an 11-7 conference triumph at home against No. 5 Arizona State. In that contest, junior attacker Emily Donohoe scored a game-high four goals, followed by three from sophomore All-American Rachel Fattal. Donohoe leads the Bruins with 38 goals this season. Fattal has scored 24 goals, and leads the team with 29 steals and 13 field blocks.

In the series against Harvard, UCLA leads, 1-0. The two teams have not played since 1995 when the Bruins won 14-1 in the quarterfinals of the national championship tournament.

In other UCLA water polo news, Fattal was nominated for the 2013 Sullivan Award, given to the nation’s top amateur athlete. Click here to vote for Rachel. This week, the Becca Dorst and Sami Hill Show premiered. Click here to watch the video.
