Los Angeles. Calif. - The men's cross country squad received an at-large bid and will advance to next Saturday's NCAA Championships in Louisville, KY.
The 27th-ranked men earned the bid following an impressive third place performance in yesterday's NCAA West Regional. The top two finishers, Stanford and Portland, received automatic qualifying bids for their results in the regional competition. However, the Bruins' season resume and performances in championships competitions were sufficient to secure a spot to fight for the national championship.
The University of Louisville will host the Championships, Saturday, November 17, at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park, located in Louisville, Kentucky. The men's race will begin at approximately 1:15 p.m. Eastern time. A live webcast of the championships will be broadcast from noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern time, on NCAA.com.
