Saw action in 40 sets over 21 matches, making four starts ... totaled 42 kills, including a season-high eight vs. Fresno Pacific (Sept. 14) ... hit .583 (8K-1E-12TA) in that match ... had seven kills and registered season-highs in digs (three) and total blocks (three) against Central Washington (Sept. 6).

2012 (UC SAN DIEGO)
Saw action in 21 sets over 13 matches ... totaled 15 kills, including a season-high five vs. San Francisco State (Nov. 9) ... hit .571 (5K-1E-7TA) in that match ... hit .667 (4K-0E-6TA) at Grand Canyon (Aug. 31) ... recorded a season-high three digs vs. Metro State (Sept. 1).

CATHEDRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
Tan was a three-sport student-athlete at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego ... a two-time letterwinner in volleyball, she was named Second Team All-CIF and First Team All-Western League as a senior in 2011 as CCHS went 35-4 ... also tabbed the MVP of the CIF Volleyball Championships after leading the Dons to a Division III State title in 2011, defeating Albany in the finals (25-15, 23-25, 21-25, 31-29, 16-14) ...  the Dons were defeated in the D-III title game in 2010 by Campolindo (27-25, 25-23, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10) as CCHS went 31-10 on the year ... also competed in crew and water polo at CCHS, earning one varsity letter ... was a middle blocker for head coach Kelly Drobeck ... coached by Chip O'Rourke in water polo and by Art Sloate ... played club with San Diego Volleyball Club and Wave Volleyball Club.

Born Kamila Mei Katrina Tan on Sept. 10, 1994 in Santa Monica, Calif. ... parents are Philip and Alina Tan ... has two younger brothers, Kasimir and Xavier ... chose to attend UCLA to be pushed athletically and train in an environment where she will be best prepared for life beyond college ... thing she likes the most about sand volleyball is that you are always involved in every play because only having two people on a team forces you to be constantly present ... favorites include the TV show "Scooby Doo", the movie “How to Train Your Dragon”, frozen yogurt and professional surfer Bethany Hamilton ... lists winning the state championship in 2011 with CCHS as the biggest athletic thrill of her career ... hobbies include camping, hiking, skiing, swimming and playing table tennis ... athlete she admires is Kerri Walsh, because she admires the way she plays and her demeanor on the court and out in public is always respectful ... while both her mom and dad graduated from UCSD, her father went to graduate school at UCLA ... has yet to declare a major.
