And Seattle Sounders FC won the U.S. Open Cup earlier this week to become only the second MLS team to win the Open Cup in their inaugural season in the league. With the win, the Sounders are now entered in the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League. Seattle is coached by former UCLA player and head coach Sigi Schmid and has two Bruin alumni on the squad - Patrick Ianni (2003-05) and Pete Vagenas (1996-99).
