UCLA All-America safety Rahim Moore will be representing UCLA at next Thursday's Pac-10 Media Day at the Rose Bowl.
Fox Sports West's Courtney Jones recently did a Q&A with the nation's No. 1 player at his position.
Q: Congratulations on representing UCLA at the Pac-10 Conference Media Day on July 29. How special is that honor to you?
A: It's a blessing and it's funny that you mentioned it Courtney because last year, I watched it and said to myself, "I want to do that." And when they told me I was selected this year, I was shocked because it's a huge step and for them to choose me it's an honor. I'm going to rock it and do all I can. I'm going to speak the truth and nothing but the truth. I'm excited; I can't wait.
Q: The dynamics of the Pac-10 are going to be very different in the future than what you have been use to in the past two seasons. How will the addition of Utah and Colorado, shape up the competition in this conference?
A: It's going to shape up a lot differently because when you play teams two or three times throughout your career you have an idea of what they are doing, you are use to their schemes. So now that we have the two teams entering we have to broaden our horizons and not only focus on the Pac-10, we must now study Utah and Colorado. It makes it more competitive and the nature of football better. The addition will give the fans what they are paying their money to see. You might have Cal one week and then Utah the next week. Utah is a big time program and what they have done over there is fantastic. It's a great day in the Pac-10 and I'm sure everybody is looking forward to it. I can't wait for all the teams to face off.
