UCLA sophomore offensive guard Stanley Hasiak will not compete for the Bruin football team this season because he did not meet NCAA academic eligibility requirements.
"This is an unfortunate situation for Stanley," said head coach Rick Neuheisel. "I expect Stanley to work hard to ensure this situation does not occur again. We expect him to help us on the scout team this year and work himself into a contributor for 2011."
Hasiak will have three seasons of eligibility remaining and can count 2010 as a redshirt season.
