Graduating senior Sydnee Michaels won her morning match Thursday at the 110th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at the Charlotte Country Club. Michaels defeated Corrine Carr of Pinehurst, NC, 5 and 4. Michaels is playing Korea's Jungeun Han in the third round and the match is all-square after one hole at 10:43 PDT.
