The Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame has announced the 14th class of Hall of Fame inductees and four Bruin alums have been named to the honoree list - student-athletes Jordan Farmar (basketball), Ben Feilhaber (soccer), Louise Lieberman (soccer) and Jillian Kraus (water polo)

In addition, Joel Meyers, who was UCLA's football and basketball radio play-by-play announcer for six years, will also be inducted.

The five men and women will be honored Sunday, January 30th at a dinner and induction ceremony.

On the UCLA Soccer alumni front, U.S. soccer team captain Carlos Bocanegra (1997-99) was featured in the Salt Lake City Tribune and Deseret News.

U.S. National Team member Benny Feilhaber (2003-04) answered question for a video interview with Goal.com:

And Seattle Sounders FC won the U.S. Open Cup earlier this week to become only the second MLS team to win the Open Cup in their inaugural season in the league. With the win, the Sounders are now entered in the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League. Seattle is coached by former UCLA player and head coach Sigi Schmid and has two Bruin alumni on the squad - Patrick Ianni (2003-05) and Pete Vagenas (1996-99).
