CAMP PROGRAM
The UCLA Girls Soccer camp offers opportunities for players at every level of the game to improve their skills in a positive, exciting atmosphere. The UCLA Women's Soccer coaching staff (led by Head Coach Jillian Ellis) will direct all sessions of the camp, and many current and former UCLA Bruin team members serve as counselors. All camp fees include a camp t-shirt and awards.
DAY CAMPS
The Day Camp is open to girls, ages 7-13. It runs Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm, and the camp is focused on teaching fundamental skills and introducing basic game strategy. This is an outstanding camp for those just learning soccer or for those already playing on teams. Campers are grouped according to age and ability, and each camper should bring her own soccer ball and a lunch from home. Check-in will take place on Monday, July 13 between 8:00 and 9:00 am. Parents/Guardians are required to show proper identification when signing out their campers.
OVERNIGHT CAMPS
The Junior Overnight Camp is open to ages 9-13, and offers a more intense and competitive experience than the Day Camp, ideal for experienced players looking to improve their skills. The Senior Overnight Camp, for ages 14-18, is an intense schedule of games and instruction for athletes with competitive soccer experience and an interest in playing soccer at the collegiate level. In addition to field instruction, both Overnight Camps offer a range of soccer-related activities, such as viewing international game film, lectures on conditioning, and a discussion of college options, all contributing to the development of a well-rounded soccer athlete. The Goalkeeper Camp (coed, ages 11-18) includes technical work on shot handling, diving, crosses, breakaways, foot skills and distribution and is appropriate for players with prior goalkeeper training. Check-in will take place between 1:00 and 2:00 pm on the first day of camp, at Dykstra Hall. All three overnight camps will check-out at 12 noon on the final day of camp. Directions and further instructions will be emailed upon receipt of registration and payment.
COMMUTERS
Commuter fees for the overnight camp include instruction, as well as lunch and dinner. Commuters must check-in on the first day of camp at the same dorm location as the Resident campers. Commuter sessions on the following days will run from approximately 8:45 am to 8:30pm for the Girls Overnight Camps, and 9:30 am to 7:45 pm for the Coed Goalkeeper Overnight. A detailed daily schedule will be provided at check-in.
