UCLA student-athletes Kate Richardson (Gymnastics), Sarah Lombardo (Rowing) and Eric Chaghouri (Volleyball) were named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 8 At-Large first team, while Emily Feher (Water Polo) and Mathieu Dehaine (Tennis) were selected to the second team. The three first-team selections will be added to the national ballot as candidates for Academic All-America honors.

Richardson, a senior from Coquitlam, BC with a 3.67 gpa in Psychobiology, becomes a three-time All-District winner. She has already earned Academic All-America honors twice in her career, receiving second-team acclaim last year and third-team honors in 2004. Richardson finished her career as a five-time NCAA champion (two team titles, three individual titles) and 13-time All-American.

Lombardo, a senior from Long Beach, Calif. with a 3.95 gpa in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, received her second Academic All-District honor in two different sports. She was a first-team Academic All-American in soccer in 2003. In rowing, Lombardo is a member of the Bruins' second varsity eight boat that has recorded eight victories in 12 races this season.

Chagouri, a redshirt sophomore from Santa Monica, Calif. with a 3.89 gpa in Biology, is a member of UCLA's 2006 NCAA Championship squad. He started seven matches at libero and played in 27 of 37 matches on the year, averaging 1.14 digs per game and recording a .950 service reception ratio.

Feher, a junior goalkeeper from Santa Ana, Calif. with a 3.57 gpa in Psychology, led UCLA to back-to-back NCAA titles in 2005 and 2006. The two-time All-American recorded a 4.45 goals against average with 158 saves in 23 games. She was a third-team Academic All-American last year.

Dehaine, a sophomore from Meudon, France with a 3.71 gpa in Business Economics, played No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles for the men's tennis team in 2006, helping the Bruins advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the 18th year in a row. He ended the season with a 26-16 overall singles record, and he and partner Jeremy Drean captured the 2006 Pac-10 Doubles Championship.
