Andrea Remynse

Junior Andrea Remynse (Battle Creek, MI/Miami Online HS) of the UCLA women's tennis team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Mar. 1-7.

Remynse clinched UCLA's 4-3 victory over No. 12 USC on Wednesday at USC's Marks Tennis Stadium. With the dual match tied at 3-3, Remynse's 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 upset over 22nd-ranked Danielle Lao at court No. 3 sealed the Bruins' victory over their cross-town rivals. She was trailing Lao 4-2 in that final set and reeled off four straight games to take the match. Remynse also teamed with Yasmin Schnack in doubles, defeating USC's 36th-ranked Lyndsay Kinstler/Maria Sanchez, 8-4. On Saturday, Remynse teamed with Maya Johansson for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles in the Bruins' 7-0 victory at Oregon.

This is Remynse's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
