Fan Travel Brochures are in the Mail!
July 21, 2003
Fan Travel, your link to traveling with the Bruins, has recently mailed out their new 2003 brochure with packages and prices for upcoming events. The Fan Travel program was created in 1995 in an effort to offer all Bruin Alumni and Fans an opportunity to watch the Bruins on the road and enjoy a relaxing and fun filled weekend. With the football season just around the corner, it's time to start making plans to travel with new head coach Karl Dorrell and the rest of the Bruins.
"The brochures went out last week and we are already ahead of last year's numbers...this is going to be a great year for the Bruins and Fan Travel," said Ashley Fendley, Director of Fan Travel.
As a Fan Traveler, one can expect to attend exclusive events, tickets to the Bruin Bash and football game, transportation to and from the game, and much more.
The Bruin Bash, the official tailgate party for UCLA Football is open to all UCLA fans. Held before every away game, including USC, the Bruin Bash is the place to be in the hours leading up to the game. Last year at the Las Vegas Bowl as many as 500 Bruins attended the event, which proved to be the true rally spot before the victory against the University of New Mexico. Food drinks, and prizes are on the list of things to expect. Rudy Jaramillo of Glendora won a trip for two to this year's game against Colorado in Boulder. Other giveaways and prizes are again planned for this year.
Also in attendance at the Bruin Bash are the Spirit Squad and the UCLA Band. They make a special appearance just for the event. Fox Sports Radio will be broadcasting the pre-game show from the party. Even some former UCLA Bruins Football players will stop by. It's quite an event!
