Westwood, Calif. - Men's soccer standout Sasha Victorine (Corona, CA) was selected the season's first Met-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-8.

Victorine, a 1999 pre-season All-American who was just recently named a finalist for the Hermann Trophy, recorded his first career hat trick in UCLA's 6-0 season- opening win over Denver. He also contributed an assist in the Bruins' second game, a 2-1 victory over Syracuse. Victorine's efforts helped the Bruins win the Cal State Fullerton FILA Classic and attain the No. 1 ranking in the nation.

Victorine is a senior Economics major with a 3.02 cumulative GPA.
