How old were you when you first started playing your sport?
I started playing golf when I was about 15 years old. I gave up baseball to play golf.

Winning the 2002 Northern California Amateur at Pebble Beach.

Whitney Oaks (Rocklin, CA)

Jeff Wilson (Low Amateur at the 2000 U.S. Open)

Do you have any pre-game superstitions or rituals?
During tournaments, I play only Titleist 3 golf balls.

What is your favorite sport other than your own?
Baseball. The San Francisco Giants are my favorite team.

Practice, practice and more practice

Sleep and watch TV.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Winning the state baseball championship game for my Babe Ruth All-Star team. I pitched seven innings, gave up one hit and got the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Christmas because of the family atmosphere
