Who is your favorite former UCLA athlete and why?
Jackie Joyner Kersee is an obvious one. She is one of the best athletes, ever, to exist.

How old were you when you first started competing in track & field?
I was in seventh grade, so I guess I was about eleven.

What is your favorite place on campus?
I like the dining halls and the track.

What class at UCLA have you liked best?
Either "Art and Social Action", or "Women in Art"

Why did you come to UCLA?
It had the ideal combination of art (my major) and running

What has been the highlight of your athletic career?
Coming to run for UCLA!

What was your favorite moment from last season?
There were a lot. Beating SC and probably running a solid 10,000m race in the end of the season.

Where was the toughest place you've ever competed?
Nationals for cross country was really tough. It was freezing, and the field was huge and intimidating.

If you could change anything about your sport, what would you change?
If possible, I would make it less subjective and also bring back more of the artistic part of it.

Do you have any pre-race superstitions or rituals?
I am not really superstitious, but warming up a certain way every time is crucial.

If you could give advice to a young kid playing sports, what would it be?
Don't play what everyone else is playing! Try different things that may suit you better. And, of course - never give up.

What is your favorite sport other than your own?
Basketball. I used to play point guard in high school.

What is your favorite opponent city to visit?
Stanford, Palo Alto

Who is the first person you call after a meet?
My parents, of course, then my grandparents

If you could have one last meal, what would it be?
Peanut butter

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Cookies and cream or mint chip

What is the one movie you must have in your movie collection?
Zoolander

What was the most embarrassing movie you've paid to see?
Summer Catch

What is the TV show you can't miss?
Will and Grace

If you could be a character on any TV show, who would it be?
Definitely Jack from Will and Grace

Any celebrity that actually makes good use of their popularity and money

To freeze time

Cure to aids, cure to cancer, different president

Having mud fights with my friends

What is the best birthday present you've ever received?
For my birthday my aunt gave me movie gift certificates, which I thought were cool.

What is your favorite holiday and why?
I like Thanksgiving- I love the food.

What is your favorite thing to do outside sports?
Art
