Junior defensive end Dave Ball (Dixon, CA/Dixon HS) of the UCLA Football Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

During UCLA's 34-24 win at Washington, Bell harassed the Huskies all afternoon and recorded three sacks among his five solo tackles. He has now made at least one sack in seven straight games. On the year, he has made 27 tackles, first amongst the linemen, and leads the team with 10 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. His 10 sacks rank sixth on UCLA's single-season list and are the most by a Bruin since Donnie Edwards recorded 12.5 in 1994. Ball ranks third in the Pac-10 with 1.11 sacks per game and eighth (tied) with 1.17 tackles for loss per game.
