Of the Bruins' 77 NCAA team championships (#1 on the all-time list), 66 have been earned by volleyball, water polo, tennis, golf, softball, track, swimming and the like. While you've no doubt observed the corporate affiliations with men's basketball and football, an Olympic sport sponsorship offers something different - the chance for a relationship that is unique and special.
Our goal is to secure sponsorships for each of UCLA's 19 Olympic sports. Many benefits of such sponsorships are measurable, such as exposure to fans, special ticket gratuities, and media advertising. There is something else, however: a more personal connection with a team, its student-athletes and coaches. The Olympic sport athletes' incentive and inspiration lie in their love of the game. We want to show them an equally spirited commitment to corporate and business support.
Below are sample sponsorship opportunities that will give you an idea of the, benefits of sponsoring UCLA Athletics. It is both adjustable and flexible to fit your marketing needs. 1. The opportunity to utilize the designation "Company, official sponsor of the UCLA Athletics."
2. Title sponsorship of an audience participation contest conducted at each home contest. An example for women's basketball would be a shooting contest. It would be conducted at a second half time-out, and features one contestant who has :45 seconds to make three full court lay-ups. If successful, the participant wins a prize from the sponsor. Other variations on this theme are possible.
3. A Company banner (3' x 8' gold/yellow with blue lettering or reverse) will be placed at all UCLA regular season athletic home events for the chosen sport. Sports receiving possible TV exposure include women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's track & field, men's and women's tennis, women's gymnastics, women's swimming, women's softball, men's and women's soccer, and baseball.
4. Acknowledgment on the arena-level message boards at each men's and women's home basketball game denoting Company as a sponsor.
5. One (1) scoreboard acknowledgment at each home football game recognizing Company as a sponsor of UCLA Athletics.
6. A full page, B/W ad in selected media guide.
7. Company logo on the back of selected schedule cards.
8. Title sponsorship of that sport's "I'm Going to College" program, which distributes complimentary tickets to elementary, junior high, and high schools so that students and their parents are exposed to a college experience.
9. Public address announcements at selected UCLA home athletic events acknowledging -- sponsor's involvement with UCLA Athletics. Announcement would incorporate Company's current tag line.
Additional benefits of sponsorship:
1. Four football season tickets which would be located in a priority seating section of the Rose Bowl, on the press box side, facing away from the afternoon sun.
2. Eight (8) season tickets to the selected Olympic sport.
3. The opportunity to purchase single game UCLA men's football or basketball tickets (selected games) at a special reduced price which may be used for consumers, employees, or client rewards.
4. The opportunity to distribute promotional give-away items with redeemable Company value (such as a cap, T-shirt, pom-pon or towel) at home contests.
5. Opportunity to buy two (2) Rose Bowl tickets from UCLA's allotment if UCLA is the Pac-10 representative.
