Senior Seilala Sua (Ft. Lauderdale, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas HS) of the womenıs
track and field team was selected the MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the
Week for the week of Mar. 6-12.
Sua led UCLA to its first-ever NCAA womenıs indoor track and field title
last weekend by winning the shot put (56-8) and placing second in the 20lb.
Weight throw (69-0). With her 18 points in the meet, she became UCLAıs
all-time leading point-producer at the NCAA Championships (87), ahead of
Olympians Dawn Dumble (82) and John Godina (81). Sua has now won five NCAA
titles in her career.
The Indoor title gave UCLA a nation-leading 80 NCAA titles.
