Cross Country Heads to the OC For Titan Invitational

The men's and womem's cross country teams will send a very large Bruin contingent to Fullerton, CA to compete in the Titan Invitational on Friday. The early evening meet features a women's 5k race beginning at 5:00 pm, with the men's 8k race to follow at 5:30 pm. Friday's race will be the final competition of the regular season. Postseason begins October 29th in Tempe, AZ with the Pac-12 Championships. This week, the men's team moved to 20th in the USTFCCCA poll after having been ranked 22nd for the last two weeks. They also moved from sixth to fourth in the West Regional poll. Competing for the men are senior Kent Morikawa, junior Zack Torres, sophomores Philip MacQuitty, Brett Walters, Joel Ambo and Dustin Fay, and freshmen Amjed Aboukhadijeh, Shayne Collins, Sean Grumney, Philip Kostelnik, Daniel Rosales, Lane Werley and Tommy Williams. The women scott will be represented by juniors Katja Goldring, Allie Lopez and Sarah Toberty, sophomores Rachel Butler, Amber Murakami, Elle Sanders, Kristina Rivera, Melissa Skiba and Caitlin Schmitt, and freshmen Merissa Kado, Bronte Golick, Meghan Marvin, Michelle Pittman and Hannah Valenzuela. |
