Jack and Rhodine Gifford Hitting Facility

The UCLA baseball program completed construction of the Jack and Rhodine Gifford Hitting Facility in less than two months. After breaking ground on the practice facility during the second week of December 2008, the baseball program began using the hitting complex on Sunday, Feb. 1. The 10,500-square foot state-of-the-art hitting and practice facility was generously funded by the late Jack Gifford and his wife Rhodine Gifford. Jack played baseball at UCLA in the early 1960s before graduating in 1963. The Gifford Hitting Facility is located behind the right field fence, extending from the right field foul pole toward the scoreboard in center field.
