2003 -- Appeared in 14 games, including five starts on the mound... After starting the year in the bullpen, made four consecutive starts before moving back to the bullpen on March 23rd... Also made five starts as a designated hitter and four at first base... Posted a 6.50 ERA in 45.2 innings of work... Was fifth on the team with 41 strikeouts in 12 appearances on the mound... His 8.08 strikeouts per game ranked third on the staff... Put together an impressive performance at nationally-ranked Texas A&M on February 24, with a career-high eight strikeouts in a career-high 6.2 innings of action...
