Summer (1999) - Was the MVP of the Cape Cod League playoffs as the starting first baseman for the the league champion Cotuit Kettleers ... Hit .391 (9 for 23) with two home runs, eight RBI, and five runs in the postseason ... Selected to the Cape Cod League All-star team as the starting first baseman and was honored at Fenway Park ... Was the All-star game MVP with a 2-for-3, two RBI performance ... Hit .312 (seventh in league) with nine doubles and 35 RBI (second in league) during the regular season ... Won the league championship with UCLA teammates Chase Utley and Ryan Carter.
