Baseball Falls to Arizona 18-7

TUCSON, Ariz.---Senior left fielder Jason Hendricks drove in a career-high eight runs, setting an Arizona record for RBI in a Six-Pac game, leading the Cats to an 18-7 victory over UCLA here Saturday afternoon. No. 5 Arizona improved to 24-5 with the win, 6-5 in the league. The Bruins fell to 10-15 and 5-8.

Hendricks had a two-run single in the first, a three-run homer, his team-leading 10th of the year, in the third and a three-run double in the fifth. He went 4-for-5 on the day. Senior second baseman Erik Mattern went 4-6 and is 9-11 in the series. Senior right fielder Colin Porter collected two hits and scored four runs for the Cats.

Sophomore lefty Tony Milo improved to 7-0 on the season and 10-0 in his career, going 7.1 innings and striking out seven batters. Tucson native Chad Cislak, a freshman right-hander, gave up 13 runs (12 earned) on 12 hits for UCLA in 4.2 innings of work to take the loss and fall to 2-5.

Senior first baseman Cassidy Olson homered and drove in three runs for UCLA.

The two teams wrap up their series Sunday at 1 p.m. at Sancet Field.

The game will be televised live on Fox Sports Arizona.
