UCLA Baseball to Send 16 Players to Summer Leagues

UCLA Summer Baseball Map and List LOS ANGELES - The UCLA baseball program has sent 16 players around the nation this summer to compete in the most competitive summer baseball leagues. Right-handers Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole look to earn a spot on the U.S. National Team (collegiate), while Blair Dunlap, Niko Gallego, Matt Grace, Tyler Rahmatulla and Rob Rasmussen intend to play in the Cape Cod League (Massachusetts). Bauer and Cole are currently competing in the National Team Trials, looking to secure a spot on the final 22-man roster, to be announced June 24. Dunlap will play for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, and Gallego will play for the Brewster Whitecaps. Grace will pitch for the Cotuit Kettleers, Rahmatulla will play for the Chatham Anglers and Rasmussen returns to pitch in the Cape Cod League for the Orleans Firebirds. Brett Krill and Adrian Williams will play in the Northwoods League, competing for the Wisconsin Woodchucks and Waterloo Bucks, respectively. Four Bruins - Mitchell Beacom, Chase Brewer, Erik Goeddel and Steve Rodriguez - will compete in the New England Collegiate League. Goeddel will pitch for the New Bedford Bay Sox (Massachusetts). Beacom, Brewer and Rodriguez will play for the Holyoke Blue Sox (Massachusetts). Jordan Haver will play for the Bellingham Bells (Washington), and incoming freshman Cody Keefer is slated to compete for the Wenatchee Applesox (Washington) of the West Coast League. Redshirt freshman Matt Mosher will play for the Folsom Pioneers (Northern California) of the West Coast League Tri-State.
