Los Angeles, Calif. - Sophomore outfielder Eric Filia-Snyder was named among the top 10 prospects from the Northwoods Summer League by Baseball America this week.

Filia-Snyder, who hails from Huntington Beach, Calif., was selected as the No. 10 overall prospect from the Northwoods League by Baseball America. He led the Wisconsin Woodchucks with a .383 batting average and six home runs, while also recording 37 RBI and 32 runs. He struck out just 13 times over 141 at-bats during the summer and also stole a team-high 24 bases in 30 attempts. Filia-Snyder also led the Woodchucks with a 1.071 OPS and a .497 on-base percentage. In addition, he did not commit an error in the outfield all summer and was named to Northwoods League Post-Season All-Star Team.

During his freshman year at UCLA, Filia-Snyder played in 20 games for the Bruins and hit .245 with one double, eight RBI and six runs. He also logged a .355 OBP for UCLA.
