Lamb earned two varsity letters in basketball for the Monarchs at Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, Calif.) and Coach Gary McKnight his junior and senior seasons (2008-09 and 2009-10) ... he also earned two varsity letters for the Titans at Colony High School (Ontario, Calif.) and Coach Jerry DeFabiis his sophomore (2007-08) and freshman (2006-07) seasons ... Lamb helped the Monarchs to a 32-2 overall record and a Trinity League title at 10-0 his senior year when he averaged 18.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game ... Mater Dei lost in the state semifinals 71-63 to eventual champion Westchester ... the Monarchs finished the 2009-10 season ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 2 in the state ... he was named to the All-CIF Southern Section first team and the CIF Division IAA Player of the Year in 2010 ... also named the MVP of the Trinity League and the Orange County Player of the Year as well as to the All-Inland Empire first team ...
