UCLA Drops 66-57 Decision to Montana

LOS ANGELES - Malcolm Lee scored a team-leading 13 points as UCLA (3-4) lost to Montana, 66-57, at Pauley Pavilion on Sunday night. Tyler Honeycutt was the only other Bruin to score in double-figures, finishing with 11 points.
Will Cherry netted a game-high 18 points for the visiting Grizzlies (4-3), and Brian Qvale added 13 points.
Montana notched its first win against UCLA in the five-game history between both teams.
The Grizzlies led for good from the 6:48 mark in the first half, assuming a 24-22 lead on a fastbreak layup by Cherry. Montana built its advantage to 32-28 by halftime.
UCLA trailed by six points, 43-37, after a layup by Tyler Lamb with 12:23 to play in the contest. From there, Montana used an 11-0 scoring run over a near-three minute span to put the game out of reach at 54-37.
Trailing by 17 points, the Bruins were able to scale Montana's advantage down to nine points by the final buzzer.
UCLA will return to the hardwood against Cal Poly at Pauley Pavilion on Saturday, Dec. 11. Game time is 5 p.m. That game will be televised live by FSN Prime Ticket.
