UCLA's Updated Men's Basketball Schedule

NEW YORK - The UCLA men's basketball team will face Georgetown in a semifinal matchup of the 2012 Legends Classic on Monday, Nov. 19, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The game will be nationally televised (ESPN2) at 5 p.m. (PT)/8 p.m. (ET).

Georgia and Indiana will play the first semifinal contest on Nov. 19 at 2:30 p.m. (PT)/5:30 p.m. (ET).

In addition, game dates have changed for six Pac-12 contests, including the Bruins' two games against crosstown rival USC, as announced by the Pac-12 Conference. The schedule changes were approved by the conference's athletic directors earlier this week after consultation between the conference office and television partners.

The format for the Legends Classic features 12 teams from across the nation competing in the fifth annual event with UCLA, Georgetown, Indiana and Georgia hosting regional round games from Nov. 11-15.

The four hosts will advance to the championship rounds Nov. 19-20 at Barclays Center, while the remainder of the field will participate in subregionals held at campus sites. UCLA will face either Georgia or Indiana in the consolation game or championship contest at Barclays Center on Tuesday, Nov. 20. The consolation game (ESPNU) will begin at 4:30 p.m. (PT)/7:30 p.m. (ET) with the championship following at 7 p.m. (PT)/10 p.m. (ET) on ESPN.

Complete schedules for the regional round games from Nov. 11-15 will be finalized at a later date.

The Bruins' home game against the Trojans will be played Wednesday, Jan. 30 (moved from Saturday, Feb. 2). UCLA will play at USC's Galen Center on Sunday, Feb. 24 (moved from Saturday, Feb. 23).

UCLA's opponents on the trip to the San Francisco Bay Area have flipped. The Bruins will play at California on Thursday, Feb. 14 and will continue the road trip at Stanford on Saturday, Feb. 16.

UCLA will host Arizona State on Wednesday, Feb. 27 (moved from Thursday, Feb. 28) and will play at Washington State on Wednesday, March 6 (moved from Thursday, March 7).

The Bruins return three starters from last season's team that finished 19-14 (11-7 Pac-12). Key returners include juniors David Wear, Travis Wear, Joshua Smith and Tyler Lamb. Additionally, UCLA welcomes the nation's top-ranked recruiting class, including McDonald's All-America selections Kyle Anderson, Shabazz Muhammad and Tony Parker.

UCLA has gone 2-0 in two previous games against Georgetown, a perennial contender in the Big East Conference. In the two schools' last meeting, UCLA defeated the Hoyas, 71-70, at the then-MCI Center in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 8, 2003.

The Hoyas have won 20 or more games in six of the past seven years under head coach John Thompson III. Georgetown went 24-9 last season (12-6 Big East), before advancing to the third round of the NCAA Tournament's Midwest Regional.
