BRUIN INJURY REPORT
Freshman forward Tyler Honeycutt is out 2-3 more weeks with a stress reaction in his right tibia. It was announced on Nov. 8, 2009 that Honeycutt had the injury. He is the only Bruin that will definitely miss UCLA's season-opener with Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 16). However, the Bruins have missed plenty of practice time this year with seven different scholarship players missing at least one week of practice due to injuries.

UCLA IN SEASON OPENERS
The UCLA Bruins are entering their 91st season and are 71-19 (.789) in season openers and 57-7 (.891) in home openers (since 1945). UCLA is also 6-0 in home and season openers under head coach Ben Howland. Last year, the fourth-ranked Bruins opened the year with an 82-58 win over Prairie View A&M on Nov. 12, 2008.

POLLING UCLA
UCLA finished the 2008-09 season ranked No. 18 in both the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press poll. The Bruins are unranked in both polls to start the 2009-10 campaign, snapping a streak of 75 straight weeks (since the 2005-06 preseason) in the Top 25 in the AP poll and a streak of 78 consecutive weeks in the Coaches Poll (since 2004-05 final poll), which was the longest streak in the nation. The Bruins are receiving votes in both polls and are No. 29 in the Coaches Poll and No. 33 in the AP Poll.

SERIES VERSUS CAL STATE FULLERTON
UCLA is 9-0 all-time against Cal State Fullerton with all nine games being contested in Pauley Pavilion. The first game was a 72-71 win on Dec. 29, 1986. The last meeting was also won by UCLA, 78-54, on Dec. 5, 2006. That is also head coach Ben Howland's only game against Cal State Fullerton. In that game, the Bruins trailed by as many as 10 points (14-4) early in the first half but held a 39-33 lead at the break.
