BRUIN INJURY REPORT
• Sophomore guard Mustafa Abdul-Hamid went down in practice on Dec. 6 with a stress reaction in his right foot. He hasn't played or practiced since the injury and will not play this week.

• All-American point guard Darren Collison saw his first action of the year against George Washington (Nov. 28) and made his first start of the season against Texas (Dec. 2) after spraining his left knee (MCL) in the exhibition game against Azusa Pacific (Nov. 2).

• Junior guard Michael Roll worked out on Nov. 27 with contact for the first time since rupturing his plantar fascia in his left foot during practice on Nov. 3. He played five minutes of the Texas game (Dec. 2), 11 minutes against Davidson (Dec. 8) and 19 minutes vs. Idaho State (Dec. 15).

• Sophomore forward James Keefe practiced for the first time with contact this year on Dec. 4 after having surgery on Aug. 10 to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He will probably use his redshirt season this year.

NATIONAL POLLS
UCLA sports a national ranking of No. 8 in both the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and Associated Press poll.

SERIES VS. WESTERN ILLINOIS
This is just the second meeting between UCLA and Western Illinois with the Bruins winning the only other meeting, 75-60 in Pauley Pavilion on Nov. 23, 2004, head coach Ben Howland's second season at UCLA. Arron Afflalo and Brian Morrison scored 13 points apiece for UCLA and Dijon Thompson had 11 points and 16 rebounds. Five Bruins scored in double figures, including Jordan Farmar with 12 points and Michael Fey with 11. Eulis Baez led WIU with 13 points.

WHAT'S WITH THE "C"?
Several Bruin teams will be wearing special jerseys or patches in 2007-08 to commemorate UCLA being the First to 100 NCAA Championships. The men's basketball team will don the new jerseys that have a different-colored "C" in UCLA. The "C" signifies the Roman numeral for 100.
