LOS ANGELES - UCLA will host Fresno State (5-6) on Saturday, Dec. 22, in New Pauley Pavilion. Riding a three-game winning streak, the Bruins (8-3) will tip-off against Fresno State at 8:06 p.m. in a non-conference game televised by Pac-12 Networks. Most recently, UCLA earned an 89-70 win at home against Long Beach State last Tuesday evening.

SATURDAY'S STORYLINE
UCLA will host Fresno State in New Pauley Pavilion on Saturday evening before entering a five-day span without any games. The Bruins are looking to extend their winning streak to a season-long four games Saturday. UCLA leads the all-time series against Fresno State by a 6-0 margin. The Bruins have won their last three contests, including the first two of a current six-game homestand. Through the last two games, UCLA has shot at a 57.4 percent clip (66-for-115) and has made 43.6 percent (17-for-39) of its three-point attempts.
BRUINS VERSUS BULLDOGS
UCLA last faced Fresno State on Dec. 27, 1990, securing an 110-89 victory at home before 8,667 fans in Pauley Pavilion. In that game, Tracy Murray led the Bruins with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Don MacLean finished with 22 points and eight rebounds. UCLA's win over Fresno State came after the Bruins' first loss of the year (88-71 at Iowa) after having opened the year 8-0.
A LOOK AT DECEMBER
The Bruins have gone 3-1 this month, recording three consecutive victories after having lost to No. 23 San Diego State, 78-69, on Dec. 1 at the Honda Center (Anaheim). UCLA logged a pair of wins over Texas-based programs, defeating Texas, 65-63, at Reliant Stadium in Houston on Dec. 8, before taking down Prairie View A&M, 95-53, on Dec. 15. Most recently, Jordan Adams scored 24 points as UCLA defeated Long Beach State, 89-70, on Tuesday night.
THE LAST TIME OUT
Jordan Adams scored a team-high 24 points to lead UCLA past Long Beach State, 89-70, in New Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday night. Shabazz Muhammad finished with 21 points and six rebounds, scoring in double figures for the eighth time in as many games this season. Larry Drew II had 14 points, nine assists and two steals (with just one turnover) as the Bruins registered their third consecutive win and improved to 12-1 all-time against the 49ers.
20-POINT PERFORMERS
Jordan Adams (24 points) and Shabazz Muhammad (21 points) became the first duo of UCLA freshmen in school history to have scored at least 20 points in the same game last Tuesday. Adams, who was 8-for-11 from the field against Long Beach State, registered his sixth 20+ point performance of the year. Muhammad scored at least 20 points for the third time in eight contests. Adams and Muhammad have been UCLA's top scorers in nine of 11 games during their freshman campaigns (Adams six times, Muhammad three times, and Norman Powell twice).
GIVING AN ASSIST
Larry Drew II leads all Pac-12 players with 8.4 assists per game, having totaled a conference-best 92 assists through 11 games. Drew II also leads the Pac-12 with a 5.1 assist turnover ratio (92 assists, 18 turnovers). He scored a season-high 14 points and had nine assists against Long Beach State on Tuesday and has registered at least eight assists in eight of UCLA's 11 contests. He dished a career-high 13 assists against Cal State Northridge (Nov. 28).
TOP START
Larry Drew II's 92 assists through the team's first 11 games marks the best start, in terms of assists per game, for any UCLA player under 10th-year head coach Ben Howland. Previously, Darren Collison owned the record for most assists in the Howland Era through the Bruins' first 11 games (68, in 2007-08).
CRASHING THE BOARDS
Kyle Anderson leads all UCLA players and all freshmen in the Pac-12 with 7.9 rebounds per game. Entering Thursday's Pac-12 games, Anderson ranks eighth among all Pac-12 players in rebounds per game. He leads the Bruins with 23 offensive rebounds and has grabbed a team-high 64 defensive rebounds. Travis Wear ranks second on the team with 6.7 rebounds per game after having averaged 5.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2011-12.
ADAMS' ACCOLADES
With his 5-for-9 3-point effort against San Diego State (Dec. 1), Jordan Adams became UCLA's first freshman to make five or more 3-pointers in a game since Michael Roll nailed 5-of-6 against Washington (Jan. 14, 2006). Adams ranks second on the team with 17.5 points per game, the sixth-highest scoring average among Pac-12 players. Adams became the first freshman in program history to have scored at least 20 points in each of his first four games (freshmen could not play on the varsity team until 1972-73). Adams has become UCLA's first freshman with at least six 20+ point games since Kevin Love (11 in 2007-08).
FRESHMEN CONTRIBUTIONS
Four of UCLA's freshmen - Shabazz Muhammad (25 pts) and Kyle Anderson (16 pts), Jordan Adams (9 pts) and Tony Parker (9 pts) - accounted for 62.1 percent of the Bruins' total points in UCLA's 95-53 win against Prairie View A&M (Dec. 15). Through 11 games this season, UCLA's four freshmen - Adams (193 pts), Muhammad (142 pts), Anderson (88 pts) and Parker (31 pts) - have scored 52.5 percent of the team's total points (454/864). The group of four freshmen has collected 41.7 percent of UCLA's rebounds (182/436) through 10 games.
CLOSE CALLS
The Bruins have gone 3-1 in games decided by five points or fewer this season. Most recently, UCLA overcame an eight-point deficit in the final four minutes to defeat Texas, 65-63, at Reliant Stadium (Dec. 8). Other narrow victories have come against Georgia (60-56, Nov. 20) and UC Irvine (80-79, in overtime, Nov. 13). Midway through his 10th season as UCLA's head coach, Ben Howland has led UCLA to a 52-32 record in games decided by five points or fewer.
DOWN THE ROAD
Following Saturday's game against Fresno State, the Bruins will have just one non-conference game remaining on their regular-season schedule. The Bruins will host No. 12 Missouri (9-1) on Friday, Dec. 28. UCLA's game against Missouri will be televised by ESPN2, with tip-off slated for 7 p.m. The Bruins last faced Missouri in the "Sweet 16" of the 2002 NCAA Tournament, losing to the Tigers by an 82-73 margin in San Jose, Calif. (San Jose Arena).
OPENING IN DOUBLE-DIGITS
Freshman Shabazz Muhammad has scored in double digits in each of his first eight games at UCLA, becoming the first player to accomplish that feat since Kevin Love (2007-08) scored in double figures in all 38 games played as a freshman (missed the 13th game of the season). Muhammad and Love are the only players in head coach Ben Howland's 10-year tenure to have opened their UCLA career with at least seven consecutive double-digit efforts.
INJURY REPORT
Sophomore Nick Kazemi remains sidelined with a sprained left MCL (sustained Oct. 26) and is expected to miss 1-2 more weeks.
