UCLA - Patrick will be unable to play his senior season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the final days of Spring Practice ... He started a total of 10 games in 2006 and 2007 ... Will conclude his career with 217 completions to rank No. 11 on that UCLA list.
2007 - Played in only five games in 2007 (Washington, California, Washington State, Arizona and USC), starting them all, due to injuries ... On the year, he completed 72 of 135 passes for 696 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions ... In the win over California, he completed 18 of 27 passes for 161 yards and one touchdown while playing for the first time in four weeks ... At Washington State, he completed 17 of 36 passes for a season-high 167 yards ... Returned to action versus USC as the starter and completed 13 of 24 passes for 156 yards with one touchdown and one interception before injuring his left knee late in the game ... Cowan was the offensive winner of UCLA's N.N. Sugarman Award for Best Leadership.
2006 - Played in all 13 of UCLA's games, taking over the starting duties against Oregon after an injury to Ben Olson in the Arizona game ... Started the final eight games of the season ... On the year, he completed 145 of 276 passes (52.5%) for 1,782 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions ... His 145 completions rank No. 17 (tied) on UCLA's single-season list ... Against Washington State, he completed 17 of 37 passes for 252 yards with one touchdown (36 yards) and two interceptions ... At California, he completed 22 of 40 passes for 329 yards -- all career highs -- with two interceptions ... He completed passes to 10 different receivers and threw nine completions of at least 15 yards ... On the day, he accounted for a career-high 351 yards of total offense, including a 12-yard touchdown run on third down ... In the win over USC, he completed 12 of 21 passes for 114 yards ... In addition, he was the team's leading rusher with 55 net yards on 10 carries and scored UCLA's only touchdown ... On the 91-yard touchdown drive, UCLA's longest of the year, he ran for 55 yards on four carries, including runs of 29 and 16 yards, and scored on a one-yard run ... In the Emerald Bowl versus Florida State, he completed 15 of 36 passes for 240 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
2005 - Cowan appeared in one game ... He saw his first action in the fourth quarter against Rice but did not attempt a pass.
