04/19/2012 On the Hot Seat with Adrian KlemmRunning Game Coordinator/Offensive Line coach answers five Twitter questions from fans. Demetrice Martin (Excelsior College, `06), was named to Coach Mora's staff in December of 2011. He left a position as the secondary/cornerbacks coach at the University of Washington to join the Bruins. He had been on the UW staff for three seasons.The 2010 Husky secondary finished second in the Pac-10 in pass defense. Prior to his assignment with UW, Martin was an assistant at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA and helped the Mounties to a 12-2 record and a trip to the state title game. In 2007and 2008, he was a defensive graduate assistant at USC, working with the secondary for the Trojans. Prior to working on the USC staff, he spent three seasons as the pass defense coordinator at Mt. SAC He was also the secondary coach at Pasadena CC in 2001 and 2002 and began his career in coaching at Monrovia (Calif.) High (1999-2000). A product of Pasadena (Calif.) Muir High School, Martin went to Michigan State, where he played wide receiver and cornerback from 1992 to 1995, earning first-team All-Big Ten in 1994 honors. He went on to play corner for the Scottish Claymores in NFL Europe and for the Houston Thunderbears in the Arena Football League. He signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Rams in the NFL.
