The UCLA football team will play seven home games in 2008, it was announced today.
UCLA will open the season on August 30, 2008, hosting Fresno State at the Rose Bowl. The Fresno State contest takes the place of a road game that had been scheduled at San Diego State on Sept. 20.
"San Diego State was concerned about the difficulty of its 2008 schedule and requested relief," said Associate Athletic Director Marc Dellins. "It took a few months to find an opponent with the same available date but we are happy things worked out with Fresno State."
UCLA will now open at home against Fresno State (Aug. 30) and Tennessee (Sept. 6) before traveling to BYU on Sept. 13.
Following a bye, UCLA will open Pac-10 action on Sept. 27 against Arizona.
