UCLA redshirt sophomore Kai Forbath has been named to the Lou Groza Award pre-season "Watch List." He is one of 30 kickers on the list, including three from the Pac-10. The award is presented annualy to the nation's top place kicker.

A second-team Freshman All-American a year ago, he led the Bruins in scoring with 105 points, a school record for freshmen and No. 8 on the single-season list. His 25 field goals set a Pac-10 record for freshmen and on the year, he connected on 25 of 30 field goal attempts.

Included in his accomplishments were a school record five field goals (on five attempts) from at least 50 yards. Twice last season he had streaks of 10 consecutive field goals. He finished the year ranked No. 1 in the Pac-10 and tied for third in the Pac-10 with 1.92 field goals per game. He was also third in the Pac-10 in scoring (8.1 points per game).
