The Bruins (4-2, 1-2) return home to square off against Utah (2-3, 0-2), in the Rose Bowl, on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Noon. The game will be televised by FOX with Craig Bolerjack and Joel Klatt in the booth and Petros Papadakis on the sidelines.
The Bruin IMG Radio Network (Chris Roberts, Matt Stevens and Wayne Cook) will radio broadcast the contest on 570am in the Los Angeles area. The game will also be aired nationally on SIRIUS (Ch.139, XM 201).

UCLA Football Falls at Utah, 31-6
The UCLA Bruins dropped a Pac-12 South game at Utah on Saturday by the score of 31-6 and will now look to regroup next Saturday at 4:30 in the Rose Bowl against Colorado.
The Bruins have won all five previous meetings in Los Angeles and lead the series, 8-2. Utah has captured the two most-recent meetings, both contested in Salt Lake City. The teams played last season, in the snow on November 12, and Utah prevailed by a score of 31-6. The Utes led 7-3 at the half, but scored a touchdown on the opening drive of the second half and began to open the game up. The last Bruin win in the series came in a 31-10 victory in the 2006 season-opener in the Rose Bowl. Quarterback Ben Olson, in his first Bruin start, threw three scoring passes that day and Alterraun Verner returned an interception for a touchdown in the contest.

The Bruins welcome back Jamir Miller as this week's honorary captain. Miller excelled at linebacker for the Bruins in the 1991-92-93 seasons. He earned All-America honors in the 1993 season while helping lead the Bruins to a share of the Pac-10 championship and an appearance in the 1994 Rose Bowl Game. Miller was also a finalist for the Butkus Award as the nation's best linebacker that season. He was selected to the the first-team All-Pac-10 squad and his 12.5 sacks tied for third on the all-time single-season school list, while his 18.0 tackles for loss, tied for seventh. Miller was credited with a school-record 4.5 sacks in the game that year against BYU. He is sixth on the all-time school list (23.5) for sacks and is tied for 11th on the tackles for loss list (35.0). Miller went on to be selected with the 10th pick in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors while a member of the Cleveland Browns.

UCLA has a 7-1 record in overtime games, the last coming in the 2008 season-opener against Tennessee, a 27-24 win. The Bruins have won the last four overtime contests they have played with the only loss coming in triple overtime, at Cal, in 2000.

A school-record 17 true freshmen played for the Bruins in 1977. In recent years, nine played in 2005, eight in 2006, two in 2007 and 11 in 2008. UCLA played 10 freshmen in 2009 and in 2010. Tight end Raymond Nelson (no longer on the roster) was the lone first-year player to see action in 2011.
