Coach Mora addresses media after Tuesday's practice

The 15th/16th-ranked Bruins (9-2, 6-2) took the field this morning to begin preparations for the Pac-12 Conference game in the Rose Bowl against No. 11 Stanford. The contest will kick off at 3:35 p.m. and be televised by FOX.

In some Bruins notes of the day --- Senior safety Andrew Abbott was selected one of 10 semi-finalists for the Burlsworth Trophy which honors the nation's most outstanding player who began his career as a walk-on. Eight Bruins were named to the Pac-12 Football Academic All-Conference team. Senior punter Jeff Locke and redshirt freshman center Jake Brendel were selected to the first-team. It was the third time Locke has earned first-team honors. Redshirt freshman Steven Manfro was chosen to the second-team as a running back. Honorable mention honors went to linebackers Anthony Barr, Eric Kendricks, Ryan Hofmeister, and Todd Golper. Also earning honorable mention was long-snapper Kevin McDermott.
