A UCLA Football Thanksgiving

Nov. 28, 2010

This past Thursday night, the UCLA football team enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner at the team hotel. The meal featured all of the standard requirements for Thanksgiving - turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, etc.

All of the members of the travel party - players, coaches, administration - as well as families of players, coaches and staff, enjoyed the meal and each other's company.

At the end of the dinner, the table centerpieces - which were baskets of canned and other non-perishible goods, as well as grocery gift cards - were donated to UMON New Day Centers. UMOM arranges temporary housing for homeless families and the baskets ensure those families also enjoy a holiday dinner.
