LOS ANGELES - The UCLA football team opened its preparations for the 35th Annual Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl on Saturday with a spirited practice in front of several hundred fans at Spaulding Field.

With finals week beginning on Monday, the Bruins will not take the field again until next Saturday.

The Bruins, 9-4, will face the Baylor Bears, 7-5, of the Big 12 in the December 27 contest at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
