The following is a quick look at the Bruins in the NFL from the final weekend of the regular season. In addition, New England Patriot's special teams standout Matthew Slater is headed to the Pro Bowl.
Arizona - DL David Carter made two tackles ; Carolina - DL Nate Chandler saw action but was not credited with a tackle ; Cleveland - LS Christian Yount saw action this week for the Browns and made one tackle ; Denver - WR Matthew Willis made one catch for five yards Rahim Moore was credited with eight tackles, including one sack, two tackles for loss ; Indianapolis - LB Justin Hickman is on injured reserve for the Colts ; Jacksonville - RB Maurice Jones-Drew was not active this week, due to injury, TE Marcedes Lewis made seven receptions for 103 yards, LB Kyle Bosworth saw action and was credited with a pair of special teams tackles; San Diego - OT Mike Harris saw action at tackle for the Chargers ; Tennessee - LB Akeem Ayers made eight tackles, including a sack , CB Alterraun Verner made six tackles; four special teams tackles ; Washington - TE Logan Paulsen started and caught one pass for eight yards Kai Forbath's consistent kicking helped the Redskins earn their first Division title since 1999 ; Minnesota - P Chris Kluwe booted three punts for a 49.3 yard average ; New England - WR Matthew Slater saw action and was named to the Pro Bowl as a special teams player; Dallas - DL Kenyon Coleman has been put on injured reserve. Baltimore - LB Brendon Ayanbadejo made four tackles; Chicago - RB Kahlil Bell ran four times for 12 yards.
In playoff action this coming weekend, Cincinnati will meet Houston, Indianapolis will play at Baltimore, Minnesota travels to Green Bay, Seattle plays at Washington. Denver, New England, Atlanta and San Francisco earned byes.
