UCLA Blue Team Captures Pala Mesa Invitational

The UCLA men's Golf Blue Team won its second tournament of the season, capturing the Pala Mesa Invitational at the Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook. The Bruins posted a team score of 293 (+5) on Tuesday to finish with a 54-hole total of 855 (-9). Oklahoma Christian placed second at 868 (+4), followed by third place Cal State San Marcos at 871 (+7). Northeastern State finished fourth at 882 (+18), followed by the junior varsity teams from San Diego State and Arizona at 885 (+21). Individually, the Bruins captured the top three spots and another player tied for sixth. Sophomore Craig Leslie won his first collegiate title, firing a final round one-under par 71 to finish with a three-round total of 210 (-6). Three strokes back was junior Peter Campbell at three-under par 213, followed by freshman Lucas Lee in third place at 215 (-1). Sophomore Brandon Christianson tied for sixth place at 217 (+1) after posting a final round score of 75. Sophomore Matt Marshall finished at 234 (+18).
